For those of you that don’t know, my Mountain Man’s birthday is St. Patrick’s Day. And for his special day, he decided he wanted to spend the day climbing. With me. I’m pretty terrible at bouldering – like so bad that it isn’t even fun. So I went into this day telling myself I just have to suck it up and pretend to have fun for one day and then I won’t have to climb again until next year. Spoiler alert: By the end of the day I was HOOKED!
Hiking the Sugarloaf Mountain Trail
When my oldest friend and her husband came to visit us for the weekend, it was a no-brainer that we had to squeeze in a hike! We had pretty exciting plans for the afternoon, so when looking for a short and sweet hike somewhere between Boulder and Nederland, but that might still offer some great Colorado views, we decided on Sugarloaf Mountain.
Last night we attended the third night of the Banff Mountain Film Festival Tour at the historic Paramount Theater in Denver. I didn’t really know much about the festival until Colorado Mountain Club invited members to purchase tickets, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
