  1. The whole house smells AMAZING when you make these because you use real cinnamon
  2. So easy you can do it with kiddos
  3. They make great gifts
  4. There are so many ways to customize your gingerbread creations (for pets, hobbies, etc.)

Today’s DIY Ornament inspiration: Glam Dinos! Featuring a glittering T-Rex angel tree topper.

I have thing for dinosaurs. If you check out my plants, chances are you’ll find a tiny little gold dinosaur sitting in the planter, like it’s hiding in a jungle. They are literally all over my house. So when I was brainstorming ideas for my home office mini tree, DIY dinosaur ornaments were the obvious choice.

HOLY MOLY! Refinishing this dining nook was my Everest of DIYs. I’m not sure why I thought tackling this WHOLE set as my first furniture refinishing project was a good idea. Maybe it was the euphoria of scoring the whole set for only $40 on Craigslist? Perhaps it was naiveté? Either way, I’m just thrilled at how great this turned out, but wouldn’t be psyched to ever do it again. On the other hand, whenever I come across a beat-up, has-seen-better-days, hand-crafted antique piece of wood furniture, my heart flutters thinking of its potential.

If you’ve been following this blog, you know by now that we have SO much more space than we did in Minneapolis. But SO much more space also means we have SO many more walls. Empty walls. Walls that look boring and barren without anything on them. Walls that could cost a fortune to fill with framed art.

So when I came across a set of framed vintage-looking botanical prints selling online for upwards of $200, I got inspired to create my own.
